"You Stay Classy, San Diego"

A few of my girl friends and I went down to San Diego to celebrate my friend's birthday. The trip was a perfect relaxing vacation. San Diego is a beautiful city. I would definitely visit this place again if I want a chill vacation on the beach with the cold American ocean water.

We had a late night meal at La Puerta in the Gaslamp District. This place was packed at midnight, and it was a Monday night. Solid food and tasty drinks. I highly recommend the Frozen Mojito.
Carne Asada Fries
These were delicious! If you come here, this is a great plate to share.

One of my friends is Guamanian, which meant we ate Guam food in San Diego! Yum! We went to Islander Grill near Balboa Park. It was all decked out with Guam decorations. We loved it!
Chicken Kelaguen

BBQ Shortribs with Red Rice
So good!

Empanadas

After lounging in Pacific Beach, we went over to the Pacific Beach Ale House. We sat on the upstairs area which was on the rooftop. A nice relaxing brew
Wheat Ale and IPA
Both solid brews.
Lobster Mac n' Cheese
This is the signature dish at the restaurant. It's delicious! If you go here you have to get this. Generous bits of lobster. On a side note, this is my favorite food shot that I've taken thus far.

Fried Calamaris

Spinach Artichoke Dip

Shipwrecked Stout
A nice ending to a meal. The brew had subtle and delicate flavors of chocolate and coffee.

Mile High Ice Cream Pie

On our third night we transfered hotels to Porto Vista Hotel. A cute little hotel in the Little Italy district. Before going out for the night, we stopped by the hotel bar and had a drink.
Dragon Berry Mojito

Stone Brewery, Escondido, CA
If you're going to do a road trip to San Diego, you have to drive east to Escondido and pay a visit to the Stone Brewery. The brewery is known for their Arrogant Bastard Ale and their Ruination IPA. The restaurant has one of the best layouts I've ever seen. I love this place!

The selection of beers on tap

Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale
I've tried the regular Arrogant Bastard Ale, which Stone Brewery is known for. This oaked selection added a great depth to the ale.

Spud Buds
Nicely fried potato balls with cheese and barbeque dipping sauces.

Mac Beer n' Cheese
Delicious! If you come here you have to have this. It's creamy and cheesy with the depth from sausages and spice.
