New Creations
Gnocchi Primavera
Asparagus, peas, and red onions sauteed with diced tomatoes. I also added some garlic chili sauce, a generous splash of red wine, and sugar.
Mocha Chip Cookies
I used my standard chocolate chip cookie recipe and added walnuts, chocolate syrup, and coffee. Crispy on the outside, while soft and chewy on the inside.

I love French Toast
I'm not that type of person that orders the same thing. I love tasting something new every chance I get. But, more often than not I lean towards french toast when it comes to sweet breakfast foods.
Here's a plate of french toast that I made this morning. Two day old Boudin sourdough bread soaked in my french toast batter. I still have to try out variations of the batter. I have found that using a dense sourdough works really well because it still has body after soaking in the batter.

Pork Shoulder Adobo
I typically make this dish with chicken legs. I had a slab of pork shoulder thawed from the freezer, and I've been craving Filipino food. I simmered the pork in the sauce this morning. Cooled it down, then put it in the fridge. This afternoon I de-fatted the pot, then adjusted the sauce with sugar and water to taste. Here is it simmering while waiting for the rice to cook.
